Job Description:

Theoris Services is assisting our client in their search for a Clinical Informaticist to add to their growing team. Our client is seeking an individual to be responsible for planning, reviewing, and contributing to all activities and functions of clinical transformation by using Information Technology to continually assess and improve the way EMR functions. In this role, you will collaborate with IT and clinical staff to drive clinical transformation through careful analysis of current processes and workflows and change management strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Identify opportunities to optimize EMR and Clinical Processes
• Actively participate with implementation team(s) during the planning and implementation of new EMR features or functions or enhancements to existing functions which affect clinical employees.
• Responsible for translating process and workflow decision into education materials, leveraging change management and adult learning principles.
• Sitting in meetings with IT to help design effectively, working with vendors to help. Won’t interact with patients but will interact with clinicians.

Requirements:

• Clinical degree in Nursing, Pharmacy, Medicine or equivalent degree or Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Clinical or Healthcare Informatics is required.
• Experience in direct patient care setting using clinical systems/EMR systems.
• At least two years of experience with analyzing clinical and patient workflows as a clinical informaticist
• Experience with effective use/workflows of an EMR system and can clearly discuss how they've found gaps in training or workflows to make it more efficient. Can speak with IT EMR language.

Preferred Requirements:

• Informaticist that has been involved with roll outs or go lives of EMR systems
