We are seeking to add an Entry Level Legal Assistant to our team. Paralegal Certification is NOT required . Training will be provided as well as the tools necessary to be successful in this role. You need only bring a commitment and willingness to learn and grow.

This position will support our firm by acting as the primary point of contact for the Firm, as well as assisting the team with general office functions and special projects as needed.

To be successful in this role you will need to be proficient with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook. You will also need to be able to multitask effectively and thrive in a team-oriented environment. You should have computer and technical knowledge to conduct legal research, analytical, communication and organizational skills. Position also requires you to be courteous, proactive and committed to providing attentive support for internal and external parties and ensuring consistent and efficient operations.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Act as primary Firm contact and screen and redirect all phone calls to the main number as appropriate.
  • Cover the Firm’s front entrance to keep it secure and greet and redirect visitors as appropriate.
  • Maintain common area facilities.
  • Support office manager as needed.
  • Process all incoming and outgoing.
  • Provide general office assistance to enhance office effectiveness.
  • Support client services team as needed.
  • Cross-train to serve as both general servicing and litigation support.
  • Assist with office event planning and coordination.
  • Answer and handle incoming phone calls.
  • Manage attorney calendars and schedules as appropriate.
  • Monitor deadlines.
  • Prepare initial drafts of general correspondence and legal documents.
  • Record documents in public records.
  • File complaints, motions, responses, etc. as needed with clerk of court.
  • Proofread, format, and finalize general correspondence and legal documents.
  • Assist with client satisfaction.
  • Document and file management.
  • Conduct investigations and research as requested.
  • Assist the Marketing and Academy Team with administrative responsibilities.
  • Assist collections department with administrative work.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
