Security Officer Job Description: System One is partnering with a client seeking a Security Officer who will play an integral role in creating peace of mind by protecting company assets, minimizing risk, and ensuring overall safety and security. This is not a typical “security guard” role confined to a static post with limited interaction. Instead, this position offers a highly engaging environment where your presence and responsiveness are key. You will be trained to: Provide and maintain a safe working environment for employees, contractors, and visitors. Actively monitor and respond to potential threats against the company. Serve as a first responder in emergency situations, both individually and as part of a team. Key Responsibilities: Ensure the safety and security of company property, personnel, and visitors. Actively patrol and monitor facilities to detect and deter potential risks. Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies. Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies during incidents. Provide customer service-oriented support while enforcing company security policies. Document and report security activities, incidents, and irregularities. Qualifications & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years of experience in a security function and/or completion of Security Training/Certification (Guard Card); OR 4+ years of equivalent, relevant work experience. Strong situational awareness and ability to remain calm under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
