A rewarding opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support students in a K-12 school setting. This position offers a contract role for the upcoming school year in a dynamic educational environment focused on enhancing student communication skills and academic success.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid SLPA certification or licensure
• Experience working with children in K-12 educational settings
• Strong understanding of communicative disorders and therapy techniques
• Ability to follow speech-language pathologists treatment plans effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with students, staff, and families
• Patience, adaptability, and a positive approach to supporting diverse learner needs

Location:

• Olathe, Kansas

Responsibilities:

• Assist speech-language pathologists in implementing therapeutic activities with students
• Monitor and document student progress toward speech and language goals
• Prepare and maintain materials and equipment used during therapy sessions
• Foster a supportive and encouraging environment to enhance student participation
• Communicate regularly with educators and families regarding student progress and challenges
• Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities as needed
