- Under direction of the Chief Executive Officer, exercises wide latitude of independent judgment and initiative in supervision of overall administration and management.
- Serves as Deputy to the Chief Executive Officer and assumes full responsibility and authority in delegated areas.
- May direct a group of services such as Operations, Facilities Management, Ancillary Services, Clinical Operations, Emergency Management.
- Oversees planning, development of programs, policies, procedures, and evaluation/monitoring of goals established by the CEO.
- Supervises implementation of programs and policies concerning Lincoln Medical Center operations and coordinates activities between facility staff and corporate office.
- Ensures compliance with standards, regulations, and readiness for inspections by accreditation agencies involving delivery of health care services.
- Recommends purchase of supplies and equipment consistent with policies.
- Recommends construction and alteration programs including acquisition and replacement of facility equipment.
- Schedules and conducts or participates in interdepartmental and departmental meetings.
- Assists CEO in maintaining cooperative relationships with professional groups, external agencies, and regulatory bodies.
- Participates in development, maintenance, and implementation of hospital management reporting system for program planning and evaluation.
- Fosters a culture of accountability and service excellence by establishing work performance standards, evaluating staff performance, providing feedback and developmental tools, and recommending corrective actions as needed.
- Prepares and participates in development of fiscal year expense, revenue, and operating budgets.
- Ensures operations run within budgetary guidelines, reviews budget requests, and monitors related expenses and purchases.
- Serves as Chief Executive Director in absence of the CEO.
Job Requirements
- Six (6) years of full-time, paid experience in high-level responsible business administration, public administration, or equivalent field.
- OR experience as a Hospital Administrator with direct responsibility for total operations or major parts thereof in a hospital setting including substantial exposure in meeting community needs.
- Extensive working knowledge of hospital administration, laws, and regulations pertaining to hospital operations.
- Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university with specialization in Hospital Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, Hospital Health Care, Medical Administration, or related program.
